Vim Shortcuts

This page documents only the Vim shortcuts that are used in practice.
It is intentionally limited and will grow over time.

`i`	Normal	Insert before the cursor
`I`	Normal	Insert at the start of the current line
`a`	Normal	Insert after the cursor
`A`	Normal	Insert at the end of the current line
`o`	Normal	Open a new line below and enter Insert mode
`O`	Normal	Open a new line above and enter Insert mode
`Esc`	Insert	Return to Normal mode
`.`	Normal	Repeat the last change
`7yy` → `p`	Normal	Copy seven lines and paste below the cursor
`7dd` → `p`	Normal	Delete seven lines and paste below the cursor
`G`	Normal	Jump to the end of the file
